Lynn Kear,, Ph.D., a film scholar and award-winning writer, has written books on topics ranging from reincarnation to Agnes Moorehead to Kay Francis. Her most recent book is the first biography on film star Evelyn Brent with James King. She recently signed a contract with McFarland to publish Laurette Taylor, American Stage Legend. It will be available in the fall of 2010.

Her first novel, Murder in a Buckhead Garden will be published in 2010. Her second novel, Guilty Truth, is a murder mystery that takes place in 1930s Hollywood. It will appear in 2011.

John Rossman lives in New York and has had a lifelong interest in all aspects of American popular entertainment during the 1920s-1940s. Kay Francis was always his favorite star on the Silver Screen, and the opportunity to read her diaries was an extraordinary and unforgettable experience. He previously co-edited Old Trolley Postcards for Dover Publications and has contributed photographs for a number of transportation histories.
